i really adore this park overlooking the water in bird rock. it’s held so much value to me the past couple years of my life and i love nothing more than to come back to this spot and reminisce on my life ,new chapters and old chapters. i moved to La jolla 3 years ago when i was 18 all alone, and when i discovered this gem of a spot i would come here after everything i did and journal. it was a scary yet exciting time in my life and i loved having this space to come to and feel like i had a spot in my new home. since then, i’ve moved up to north county SD and i always try to make a stop at calumet park when i’m in the area. and whenever i come here it not only reminds me of the joy and memories this park brings me but also how FAR i’ve come in many aspects of my life compared to my 18 year old self<3 just a reminder that a lot of life’s problems and worries you won’t even remember or think about in a matter of time, everything’s temporary, everything comes and goes.
