The waiting season before beginning a new chapter is so hard. Starting grad school was everything I hoped for and some of what I didn’t expect. It has been a valuable and stressful journey to become a therapist as well as be a student. The journey was so hard financially. Post grad— I haven’t been able to find a job that I felt like was the right fit for me. I started to feel doubtful if I had embarked on the right path 3 years ago. After a restless night I checked my email today and saw an offer letter for a job that required me to do an incredible amount of preparation and included 3 rounds of interviews. I feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders. Over the course of 4 months, 80+ applications and numerous interviews later, I’m finally stepping back to take a big (not small) moment to breathe a sigh of relief. This is just the beginning.
