Virtual Journal Entry: Finding the Way
On this day last year I just got home from basic training. It was the most wild experience I’ve ever had. That night on Sep 16th 2022 when I got back to the hotel was such a relief. My new journey was officially underway. Five days later I got to my unit on the USCGC Hamilton here in Charleston. I was a long ways from home. 2 weeks after that I would go on the biggest adventure of my life. All the way across the Atlantic to do operations in Spain, Finland, Latvia, and the Canary Islands. That’s something a boy from KY couldn’t dream of doing at 18 years old. Today 1 year later here I sit enjoying my day at this beautiful new home.
