I saw this on instagram and was like….I have been there! And this was my call to go back. I love the idea of The bench project, we all need to take the time to sit and just be. Life is so hectic, I kind of liked covid for the reason it made us slow down. In the end, all the busyness will not matter at all. I am investing in me today. Thanks for the reminder : )

When my mind is clouded and chaos consumes. I have this bench at the park. The common persons thrown. Seating me at the forefront of humanity. Here I sit , here I watch, here I breathe. This park bench my very own seat at the movie theatre of life. Sitting with oneself but part of the communal peace of humanity. The peace at the park.

I’ve never sat on this bench before. I took a long hike all around Schenley Park. I saw the benches on the way back to my car, grabbed my book, and settled in for some relaxed reading. A truly beautiful way to start a Saturday!

Sat here on this wondrous bench contemplating the many trials and tribulations as a woman in this patriarchal society! So cute and we watched these girls have a whole photo shoot (which I think we may accidentally be in the background of). Gonna miss this summer so much. Schenley and these benches have made it great 🙂

Me and my friends from my floor that a met my freshmen year come here to hangout and talk. I love them

currently sitting here with one of my best friends as two girls cuddle on a blanket as the sun sets around them. they’re laughing like there’s no one else in the world while the cicadas are chirping in the trees. tiny moments like these remind me of all the good moments in the world <3

Currently, I am sitting on this bench eating a turkey sandwich and I could not be more content. It’s sunny and warm, and I definitely needed the fresh air.

this bench is where my entire floor would hang out during welcome week. We called it our “lounge” because the towers didn’t have any lounges open. Fun times 🙂
