  >  Virtual Journal Entry: RIP Mom and Dad
·

As my parents aged into their 80’s, they became my next door neighbors, and I slowly but surely became their full-time caregiver.
There was many a doctor’s appointment, as well as a few hospital stays. When first my mother was in Centennial Hospital, upon her release my then 86 year old father and I would push her in her wheel chair around beautiful Watuga Lake.
My mother passed at age 86 peacefully at her home next door to me.
At age 94 my father began needing to go to the hospital, and after he was released we did the same thing, I pushed him around watuga lake, he loved all the beautiful flowers.
He passed away at age 96 peacefully in his own home next door to me as well. This beautiful Park brings back wonderful memories of my mother and father.
