Where it all Began
·

M and I met in Houston last year and began dating earlier this year. We learned early on that we were both born in Nashville 5 days apart from each other. It just so happened that my dad’s 60th birthday was this weekend and we were both able to join him on a small trip back to the beautiful city where we were born – able to reminisce with family, go back to childhood homes, and grow closer together on a beautiful weekend and a cool afternoon downtown. The lights of the city, the breeze across the lake sitting across from this bench are just beautiful memories that will last a lifetime! Grateful for the time and chance to be able to come up here and be together. Much love ❤️

Summer at Vanderbilt University
·

I am staying in the dorms at Vanderbilt University for a summer research internship. I’ve been coming to Centennial Park frequently with my research intern partner who enjoys the swings. It’s a beautiful day out. The weather has been cool with a high of 84 degrees today, which is much lower than most days this summer, which have reached the mid 90s. I’ve seen many ducks, geese, and people around the pond enjoying the pleasant weather.

Roadtrippin’
·

We’re taking our first family road trip across Tennessee and North Carolina from Missouri. It’s our first time in this beautiful park, seated across the lake from the Parthenon. We’re enjoying the peace and quiet, while reflecting on the others who have sat in this spot before us. Getting the chance to explore new places with those you love is a gift, and we cannot wait to make more memories together. Stay safe and be well.

Joy
·

I am a Nurse Practitioner at Centennial Medical Center. It’s near the end of my day and I’ve found this bench for some fresh air and calm. I have spent so many years coming to this park between working as an RN, Nurse Practitioner school, heartbreak and eventually meeting my now amazing husband. This park will always be special to me. Today is a good day.

Centennial Park
·

My family moved here to Nashville in July of 2020 during Covid and we knew almost no one that lived here. I was 12 and bored with being in the house. We lived less than 5 minutes from Centennial Park and it very quickly became our escape from our house that we were unpacking and sometimes even each other. My mom and I used to come walk around the loop after I was done with virtual school that fall as well and it was an amazing place to be! It’s also a beautiful place for photos at night! Swinging on the bench swing is one of my favorite memories with my mom! Today, when we once again went back to the park, we noticed the QR code and I had to share my story and say “Thank you” to Centennial Park for all the amazing memories I have from there! I’m excited to continue making more!

Came for the music
·

Traveled here, the two of us, for our love of music, to see a concert and to check out the music scene in Nashville. Could easily get swept away in the vast variety of musicians on every corner and at every venue. Will definitely come again.

New beginnings
·

What was supposed to be a day at the race track looking at cool cars turned into an even better day roaming Nashville with my amazing boyfriend and finding new feelings in a place I’ve been before but now I will cherish in a very special way
