Virtual Journal Entry: Sounds
Being back home for the first time in a while is making me me notice so many things that I didn’t before. It’s funny how that works huh? We get used to the simple beauty around us. Today I’m noticing how different the wind sounds here. The desert wind of New Mexico is dry, it whips in big gusts, it’s not very gentle. The trees that the wind blows through are small and hearty. Here in the Northeast, the wind has so much more aroma. Like a damp forest. And its more whispey and gentle in an unexplainable way. The trees here are so much taller and filled with long branches that dance in the wind. There’s more life in these trees. So many different varieties of birds that call the forest home. I’m grateful to know and love both places. This is your reminder to step outside you comfort zone every once in a while.
