As I walk the trail between so many unique and interesting benches, I need to remind myself to stop and reflect a little bit more when I’m at the memory bench. The name, memory bench, has a dual significance. First, it reminds me of a concern I have as I age. Why doI forget so much so often? Is it a natural part of growing old – minor lapses? Or something more serious. Current confusion aside, the memory bench also reminds me of the things I do remember. These are treasures every joy in my heart and make my life complete. We may be forgetful at times, but our memories are always a special part of our existence.
